Sanlorenzo motor yacht SL94 is the latest news of 2011/2012 season. Designed by world-renowned studio Francesco Paszkowski Design. SL94 yacht features summarizing elegance, volume balance and proper ratio between solid body and openings. The Ameglia shipyard created the new styling elements of the SL94 superyacht in a perfect harmony that were successfully present in the multi-prized super yacht SL104, which represents a bunch of innovations that never altered the consistent family feeling of the yard planning fleet.
An exhaustive and deep analysis of the concept led the Technical Department of the yard to develop this project in the full respect of Sanlorenzo traditions and values, based on the line stability of its yachts through the time, becoming icons of the yachting business.
Contemporary exterior lines are inflected on the larger luxury yacht SL104 composition elements, thanks to soft touches on the sheer line, on the windows and on the shape of the transom and the flying bridge. Studio Francesco Paszkowski Design signed this project in co-operation with the in-house Technical Department.
The exterior line distinctive elements are the rectangular portholes, the wide windows at the main deck, the powerful uprights supporting the aft part of the flying bridge that can be painted in the same colour as the hard-top, which is an option. In fact there are two versions: one with hard-top, covering in part the flying bridge, and one with radar arch and a soft top.
The main news on the luxury yacht SL94 is just the flying bridge, much roomier than in same size yachts. It is largely customizable with furniture and decoration and is tender-free, allowing a better and more comfortable use of this area. The glassed, transparent hand rail, finished with a teak top, allows an unlimited view of the surrounding panorama.
The most significant technical innovation is the configuration of the stern: the transom hide a roomy garage. The Technical Department succeeded in placing a 15’ (4,50 m) yacht tender by beam thanks to a clever moving system that allows to fit such a big tender and at the same time to maintain the two side stairways from the swimming platform to the main deck. Sanlorenzo chose this solution to maximize the interior volumes without forwarding the engine room. The swimming platform is moving up and down to help to get on board from the water guests and water toys.
The interior decoration of this first unit is signed by Studio Francesco Paszkowski Design. The owner selected a modern, sober style, enriched by a wide choice of materials. All the veneers are naturally and tri-dimensionally treated: the bulkheads are in whitened and planned oak, while the wooden furniture are treated with a “fabric” effect. Panels are painted with metallic shade.
The large salon on the main deck is lightened by wide windows and is totally separated from the dining room by the staircase leading to the lower deck and by the day-toilet, to more intimately relax in the living area.
The dining room freed in this way the salon and thanks to a double door, is equally an intimate space for the guests to dine.
The galley is in front and is sided by the crew mess. The crew quarter is on the lower deck, in front, joined by a stairway beside the mess.
The lower deck has a classical layout to better host owner and guests: owner’s cabin at mid-ship, Vip cabin in front and two twin-bed guest cabins in the middle.
The owner’s cabin, in particular, is an open space including the shower cabin and a vanity desk on starboard side; more privacy is dedicated to the toilet.
The power of the SL94 yacht is granted by two 1,415 kW (1,890 HP) CAT C32 Acert, pushing SL94 up to 27 kn top speed and 25kn cruising speed, or by two 1,630 kW (2,100 HP) MTU 16V 2000M92, for 29 kn top speed and a 26 kn cruising speed.
