The stunning Oyster 100 superyacht SARAFIN by Dubois, has been announced as a finalist in the 2012 World Superyacht Awards. World Superyacht Awards honour the finest new superyacht builds delivered to their owners in the past twelve months. Whilst Dubois yachts have won many awards over the years, this prestigious nomination is a first for an Oyster yacht.
There have been a number of firsts in the development of the Oyster Superyachts and the Oyster 100 sailing yacht Sarafin by Dubois. Oyster 100-01, is the first Dubois design built in composite to Lloyds ✠100A1 SSC Yacht Mono G6 MCH and the MCA LY2 Code. Benefitting from the best aspects of series production design, proven sailing performance and tried and tested systems, the new Oyster 100 SARAFIN also offers many of the exceptional features of a high-end, custom-built superyacht.
The combined team of Dubois Naval Architects, RMK Marine and Oyster has risen to the challenge in developing this new Oyster Superyacht. Dubois providing the overall design, as commissioned by Oyster, with the RMK and Oyster design teams providing the detailed structural, interior and systems designs.
It is the first composite yacht built by Oyster’s subcontractors RMK and the first yacht in the current three yacht programme, which includes Oyster 100-02 by Dubois, due to be launched later this year and Oyster 125-01 by Dubois, which will be in commission early in 2013, both being built for UK buyers.
