Mourjan Marinas IGY, the Dubai-based marina developer as well as manager, has received another trophy, the ‘Excellence and Innovation’ award for Lusail Marina at the World of Yachts and Boats Recognition Awards.

Mourjan Marinas IGY undertakes full responsibility for design, construction and operation of all marinas in the Lusail City development, a meticulously planned urban development that will soon provide the ultimate living experience for around 200,000 people in Doha, Qatar.
The marina, designed as an eco-friendly facility, welcomed its first yacht last summer and features 93 modern floating marina berths, accommodating yachts of 10-40 metres in length.

Lusail is the first marina in the region to offer its customers three on-water lounge areas built with unique contemporary shade structures which create a fantastic place for relaxing on the harbour side.
Mr. Horrigan was invited to attend the award ceremony by the Arab Marine Industries Association, the Dubai World Trade Centre and the World of Yachts and Boats to accept the award on behalf of the company.
The award presented to Mourjan Marinas IGY follows a string of accolades from the Arab Marine Industries Association (AMIA) as well as other organizations. These included the “Innovation and Excellence” Award (Marina & Management) in the Arab Maritime World at a high profile awards ceremony in Lebanon and the “Marine Initiative of the Year” at the Arabian Gulf Yachting Award in recognition of their activities and involvement in the community through Festival Marina.
