Superyacht Status Quo is the latest yacht to be launched by Richmond Yachts, not only that, it is also their largest yacht ever built and the largest yacht ever built in Canada. Status Quo measures 150 feet and hit the waters on Saturday.
Ward Setzer is responsible for the hull and styling of the yacht Status Quo, which is entirely made of fiberglass.
The yacht will accommodate up to 12 guests in the owner’s party and eight crew of professionals. The interior design and layout of the superyacht Status Quo is similar to the previous launches, with sapele and pomele woods throughout, from the on-deck master to the captain’s stateroom. The latter, according to the yard could be a VIP cabin instead, located just aft of the wheelhouse. Status Quo also features a waterfall treatment in the dining room, the latter of which is also open to the salon.
Status Quo is currently undergoing the sea trials an is expected to top the maximum speed of 18 knots, thanks to her twin 2,000 hp MTUs. Some finishing touches are still to be completed. The yacht is for sale for $30 million.
Further information and photos will follow, once they are available from the company.
