CHARTER VACATION IN THAILAND & MALAYSIA
PHUKET
Phuket, the largest island of Thailand’s west coast is the perfect reference and base point while on your Thai charter vacation in the Andaman Sea. It is similar in size to Singapore and is conveniently connected to mainland by two bridges.
PHANG NGA BAY
One of a wonderful places to visit while chartering a yacht in Phuket is Phang Nga Bay, a national marine park and an area of beautiful unspoiled scenery. Sailing here is safe all year round and most yacht charterers spend two or three days exploring the towering limestone islands of Ko Phanak and Koh Hong with their many caves and ‘Hongs’ to discover. Here you could take a long tail boat and set off to the renowned James Bond island or further to Koh Pan Yi, a typical Muslim Sea Gypsy village constructed on stilts.
RACHA ISLANDS
Racha Islands are located just off Phuket, with little tourism or development. Here you will find tranquil anchorages, crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkelling.
KOH PHI PHI
The main island of the Koh Phi Phi group is Koh Phi Phi Don. Small shops with fresh fruit and vegetable, big game fishing trips, restaurants and bars are what awaits its visitors. Moving onto Koh Phi Phi Lee, we have the spectacular Maya Bay to explore, the famous location used for filming the popular movie The Beach. This is a beautiful sandy lagoon with white beaches surrounded by limestone cliffs.
For those in love with snorkelling, there is Koh Dam Group, otherwise known as the Chicken Islands. The snorkelling here is excellent with a number of coral reefs to explore.
Located about 34 miles off the west coast of Thailand, Similan and Surin Islands are one of the world’s best dive destinations. The water around this marine park is teeming with fish amongst the surrounding coral.
LANGKAWI IN MALAYSIA
Situated a short distance south of Phuket, Langkawi is a tranquil charter destination of 99 primarily uninhabited islands, with pristine beaches and lush rainforest-covered mountains. Langkawi is a perfect place for nature lover and adventurous spirits.
