Providing speed as well as comfort, the superb 85-foot fast cruising yacht concept by Bury Design has been developed to take a family around the world as well as to offer a stylish cruising platform for a popular yacht charter destination – the Mediterranean. Boasting a large raised salon and an enclosed centre cockpit, the 85′ Bury superyacht design is an ideal vessel for both offshore and coastal cruising.
The 85′ Bury yacht concept features a vertical lifting keel and is of advanced composite construction, utilising aramid, carbon and glass fibres over PVC foam cores. The mast is slightly fractional carbon with swept spreaders. With non-overlapping headsails and a generous mainsail she will prove both swift and easy to handle under sail.
There is a large deck saloon on top the engine room space which incorporates both a dinning area and the navigation station. The galley is down and forward of this and allows easy communication with the two areas and an open feel. Forward of the galley are three cabins — two doubles and a twin, all with ensuites. Aft of the main saloon area is the owners cabin featuring a lounge area under the aft glass at the aft cockpit.
On deck there is a central cockpit with twin settees, aft of this is the mainsheet and helm positions. Access to the side deck is through gates in the coaming forward of the helm. Aft of this cockpit is the aft cockpit which gives an area suitable for lounging, sun baking or breakfast dinning.
This accommodation and features are all set in a very modern and well proportioned hull form that is both easily driven and seaworthy. The 85′ Bury sailing yacht concept is a capable and comfortable fast cruiser.
