Australian yacht designer, Misha Merzliakov, has revealed his new 102 m yacht design. The breathtaking 102 m Merzliakov ‘super trimaran yacht’ concept is based on Austal shipyard’s unique trimaran hullform.
The trimaran hullform is a proven platform which offers superior seakeeping, greater speed and fuel economy. The advantages of Austal’s innovative trimaran platform have been proven in commercial operation since 2005, and this leading technology is now available for the superyacht industry.
The 102 m Merzliakov mega yacht design was conceived for an owner seeking a unique multihull vessel that is economical to build and able to operate at high speeds.
The 102 m Merzliakov superyacht is capable of operating at up to 39 knots, and the trimaran hullform enables the vessel to operate in higher wave heights and at higher speeds than other high speed craft.
With large outdoor entertaining areas, including an infinity pool on the main deck combined with a spacious interior, the 102 m Merzliakov luxury yacht comfortably accommodates up to 24 guests and a crew of up to 40 people. The superyacht has been designed as a luxurious home away from home, with the owner looking to spend up to six months at a time at sea.
A large array of tenders are hidden away on the main deck, and the 102 m Merzliakov yacht design also allows for room to house a Eurocopter in a forward lift hanger.
Designer Misha Merzliakov commented he is excited to bring this revolutionary hullform to the superyacht market:
“The trimaran platform is ideal for the superyacht owners looking for a vessel that combines speed and comfort.”
“This yacht means business when at speed.”
“I have seen fast yachts in the market before, but to design a superyacht with the trimaran hullform has been exhilarating.”
“I am excited to be able to bring this revolutionary design to the superyacht marketplace.”
