Currently under construction at the prestigious Moonen Yachts shipyard in the Netherlands, the 37m (120’) superyacht MARTINIQUE is searching for a new Owner, who could be cruising on this beauty in maximum comfort in the 2017 season. The hull is almost complete and work on the superstructure is well underway.
350 GT MARTINIQUE belongs to the new Caribbean series, and was commissioned by the yard’s current shareholder. As Moonen seek a new major shareholder and continue with the other new build and refit projects underway at the yard, the attention also turns to finding a client who recognises the enormous value of this striking superyacht.
One of the many exciting aspects of this project is the use of high-tensile steel for the hull. This has been a great opportunity for Moonen to work with a thinner steel and construction that is normally used in high-end industrial applications. Moreover, the shipyard added propeller tunnels to the MARTINIQUE. This offers a limited draught – making it easy to explore places like the Bahamas, comfortable sea going and low fuel consumption at cruising speeds.
A tremendous amount of work has also been done on keeping the weight of the vessel as low as possible and in ensuring the best possible noise & vibration attenuation properties. Combined with her exceptionally comfortable sea keeping performance and low cost of ownership, MARTINIQUE represents a great opportunity to own something very special in a relatively short timeframe.
