The recently concluded Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2015 in Sardinia hosted four sailing yachts, beautifully penned by Nauta Design. Two of these, the Cookson’s 84’ luxury yacht MY SONG and the Southern Wind’s SW82 super yacht GRANDE ORAZIO, won in Class B and Class C, respectively.
This year’s edition of this popular Mediterranean regatta hosted a total number of 15 vessels, including the SW 100 superyacht BLUES and the SW 100 sailing yacht CAPE ARROW, both superbly penned by Nauta Design. The 2015 race was marked by light winds, fair weather and high temperatures – slightly different conditions from the usual windy June in Sardinia.
During the race, BLUES and CAPE ARROW yachts were engaged in an epic duel that saw BLUES cross the line just 21 seconds ahead of her Southern Wind sister ship, a thrilling conclusion to the race.
Two first places of MY SONG and GRANDE ORAZIO yachts out of three Classes at the 8th edition of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta confirmed a great success of the yachts designed by the Milan-based studio Nauta, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
