Sanlorenzo shows its most acclaimed model, the SX88 crossover
As with many yacht designers and builders, Sanlorenzo has aligned its future vision and values with sustainability and innovation. With this in mind, they have developed the SX88 crossover as part of their ‘Road to 2030’ strategy which aims to deliver ambitious sustainability goals over the next decade while partnering with some of the world’s energy sector big hitters.
In revealing their future plans at yacht shows, these yacht builders, have demonstrated the industry’s clear commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency & diversity and environmental protection. The requirement for transparent processes and practices continues to put the yacht industry in the spotlight like never before, so we applaud the progress and hope to see these innovative yachts in production soon.
Back to the show and The Experiential Yachting Forum, held at the Port of Call stage, also focussed on innovation in the industry from a slightly different standpoint, posing the question of potential alternative uses for superyachts, as well as how to bring diverse investment into the industry.
Away from the serious business, there was also lots of fun to be had including watersports and diving demonstrations, fishing competitions, art galleries and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. On board a super yacht guests are likely to be just as thrilled by the water toys as they are by their host yacht, so the show of jet ski and e-foil acrobatics drew big crowds as the riders demonstrated their skills with the latest models and gadgets.
Live music, delicious food and flowing drinks added to the overall atmosphere as the sun set on this unique city and this year’s Boat Show.
