This stunning striking 36.25 metre AB Yachts built superyacht Blue Force One has been launched in 2010 and was nominated for the prestigious and peer-reviewed 2011 ISS Design and Leadership Awards, in the ‘Power 24m – 40m’ category. The winner of this category was the 24.1m Tricon Marine built superyacht NISI designed by NISI Yachts and Ward Setzer.
AB 116 motor yacht Blue Force One was built by AB Yachts shipyard belonging to FIPA GROUP, that summarises the new concept of sport power of the AB Yachts style, with a hull having slender appearance and smooth, tapering, and winning lines.
The interior spaces of the superyacht Blue Force One – AB 116 have been conceived in order to grant the utmost comfort in an environment able to create a continuity between exterior and interior. When entering from the main door, the spaciousness of the room together with the choice for natural essences like wenge’ and durmast put together with fabrics and leathers with subtle colour, create a salon with a big impact for its largeness and brightness.
The big windowing gives the idea of open spaces and the distribution of rooms has been studied in order to create a unique environment to live the sea.
AB Yachts has been able to conceive also for this new AB 116 luxury yacht Blue Force One a valuable design, with a high level stylistic approach, that is manifest also for the utmost care for the smallest detail. The main deck of is a true loft, and contains a living area thought to live spaces in the utmost relax: it guests a wide U-shape sofa, followed by a dining table for 10 guests, and, on the right, a piece of furniture with a 50’’ TV that can be lowered in the furniture, and a bar corner that includes fridge, ice maker and sink.
The wheelhouse of the Blue Force One yacht is separated from the salon in a very discreet way through a panel put in the centre of the area that remains at half the height of the room, in order to allow a 360° visibility of the exterior from any point in the main deck.
Downstairs we find a suggestive salon used as TV room lightened by the upper deck windowing, the owner cabin on the stern is a true suite, bright and spacious, thanks to the wide windowing on both sides. Besides the owner cabin, in the night area there are two twin cabins with twin beds and private bathroom and a VIP cabin on the bow, and an additional cabin that can be used as gym or guest cabin. The crew quarters, containing three cabins and bathrooms, also contain a fully accessorised galley.
And the exterior of the AB 116 motor yacht Blue Force One is not less: going onboard, the cockpit, covered with teak like all the external floor, reveals immediately the attention given to the maximisation of the spaces for relax: as a matter of fact we find here a wide sunbed that can be used as a sofa, and, on the bow, a convivial area with table and sofas. Sofas and a really huge sunbed are also on the Flying bridge, where we find a wheelhouse in the centre and on the bow a comfortable dining area with icemaker and fridge.
Like for the other sea jewels built by the Massa shipyard, from the structural point of view the yacht shows hull and superstructure built with materials borrowed from aerospace industry that grant lightness and solidity. The three engines MTU 16V2000 M93 CR of 2400 HP each with the 3 MJP waterjets allow the new AB 116 superyacht Blue Force One to reach a maximum speed of 46 knots with the utmost confidence and total absence of vibrations.
