The award-winning UK superyacht design firm, Adam Lay Studio, has reached its first major milestone. 10 years ago this month, Adam & Kelda began their yacht design business, having left their respective jobs and been on a sabbatical travelling around Australia and New Zealand for 5 months.
They returned with virtually nothing, and have been steadily building their business, building their reputation, collecting awards, and compiling a portfolio of outstanding new-build and refit yacht projects like superyacht Artemis (ex Salperton III), charter yacht Salperton IV, mega yacht Lady Kathryn V, J-Class yacht Endeavour and their latest launch from Baltic Yachts, the 107 foot sailing yacht Inukshuk.
Adam has been part of the superyacht industry for almost 20 years and set out to build upon an impressive portfolio of projects from his time spent working with John Munford like superyacht Velsheda, charter yacht Northern Light, charter yacht Reverie and charter yacht Tiara.
“We would like to thank all those industry colleagues who have supported us and presented us with opportunities. We would like to extend a special thanks to all our clients past and present who have inspired us and been an absolute pleasure to work with.”
