Adtim from the Netherlands has recently installed two dedicated air purifying systems based on smart plasma technology on a 36m superyacht that started her life as a tug boat. The superstructure as well as the interior of this tugboat were completely changed into a luxury yacht, destined for polar expeditions. This change into unlimited comfort means luxury materials as well as furniture, but also state of the art HVAC system and sound as well as fire protected walls.
Being dedicated to this completely new purpose occurring smell from the diesel and sewage tank caused comfort restriction on the newly created sun deck and in the cabins while operating the HVAC systems.
Adtim solved these problems by installing two dedicated air purifying systems based on smart plasma technology, one for the HVAC system and one for the air outlet of the sewage treatment plant. The AirPurifier for the HVAC has a capacity of 1.800m3/h.
With this active filter 100% of the odors, bacteria and germs are removed from the air. This air cleaning system is also very effective for people with asthma or allergies.
The cooker hoods with a plasmafilter are a perfect solution for the use on yachts and ships as they function with recirculation so there is no outlet ducting to the fresh air needed. This saves a considerable amount of space for piping as well as the cost for installing.
The plasma technology in these AirPurifier systems is proven technology which has also been used since 2006 in domestic cooker hoods. Thousands of these are delivered every year.
