The International SeaKeepers Society is pleased to recognize a great dedication of Agnès Troublé to the stewardship of the sea during the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show. Well known as agnès b., she has been at the forefront of reshaping environmental advocacy based on sound science through her support of Tara Expeditions.
The yacht used by Tara Expeditions for its ocean marine scientific research and advocacy missions was formerly owned by legendary yachtsman Sir Peter Blake (a 2002 SeaKeepers Award recipient). This vessel was then known as sailing yacht SEAMASTER, and is now known as TARA yacht.
In addition to her impressive contributions to the Tara Expeditions, agnès b. has received distinguished awards including the Mont Blanc Foundation, an Arts Patronage Award, the Pasolini prize, the “Ordre du Mérite” medal, was nominated as “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur” and promoted to Commandeur des Artes et Lettres.
The International SeaKeepers Society will honor agnès b. with the 2012 SeaKeepers Award for her continued advocacy on behalf of our Oceans during this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.
