Currently under construction, luxury motor yacht Project Galatea (hull 15640) represents the first 40-metre Heesen sportster, featuring advanced hull technology, powerful performance, unparalleled interior design, as well as peerless Dutch building standards. Superyacht Project Galatea is the only 40-metre luxury vessel in the world able to deliver all four features. Like every Heesen before her, Galatea will be handed over to her new Owner precisely on time at 12 noon, December 15, 2013.
Luxury yacht Galatea has an open flybridge layout – a huge 85 square metres of deck space that includes a helm station and a shaded dining area that is protected even underway by glass side panels.
The Omega Architects interior has a distinctive personality based on a theme of Dutch expressionism. Contrasting woods, simple clean lines, marquetry and glass detailing – all creating an atmosphere of calm, contemporary elegance. The very latest entertainment systems are concealed within European oak side cabinets with macassar detailing. Other surfaces include shagreen and majilite contrasting against the tan toned antique leather sofas.
Project Galatea yacht will provide luxururious accommodation to up to 10 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam main deck master cabin, two full-beam VIP double cabins as well as two twin cabins on the lower deck, all fitted with marble ensuite bathrooms. Moreover, the main deck features entertaining space, comprising the saloon, a dining area set behind glazed doors and an aft deck terrace.
Superyacht Galatea has sound and solid build quality with a garage large enough for a 5,4 metre tender, jet ski and scuba diving or other equipment. The Heesen track launching system makes it easier and quicker for the crew to get everything into the sea and ready for action. With the yacht built for private use, the sun deck has even more available space for relaxing around the octagonal Spa Pool and dining areas.
Galatea yacht has the optimum balance of power and comfort. A yacht capable of 28 knots but also with marble bathrooms and every other chic interior design feature. Comfort and handling are enhanced by Active Interceptor stabilizers or the option of the very latest zero speed Seakeeper gyros.
