Dutch shipyard Amels has announced the successful delivery of luxury yacht STELLA M, the first hull of the Amels 200 Limited Editions model, in time for the summer cruising season in the Mediterranean.
The 60m/197ft STELLA M was constructed and delivered within a year and a half since her sale in late 2019, and Captain Spyros Karalis has been at the shipyard for most of the year to oversee the built and final outfitting on the Owner’s behalf. What lies ahead is a packed summer season cruising from Spain and the Balearic Islands in the Western Mediterranean all the way across to Eastern Mediterranean islands around Greece.
Along the journey, onlookers will have the opportunity to admire the pristine white hull and superstructure, which is an advancement on the Amels 188 designed by Tim Heywood.
“I believe her delicate, fluid lines will prove to be timeless and she will still look as attractive in 50 years’ time, as she does now,” he commented. Other details include flying buttresses, upturned deck ends and a sculptural mast.
The interiors from award-winning designer Reymond Langton are illuminated by large windows across the decks with floor-to-ceiling windows in the Owner’s suite, and for guest convenience, there is a lift (elevator) spanning four decks. The 1,015 GT Amels 200 also has a sundeck Gym and hybrid electric power technology for reduced noise and vibrations as well as environmentally friendly cruising, similar to her predecessor. The increased length provides additional room for the aft decks and swim platform, improving life outdoors.
The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests, and there is a crew of 12 in addition to Captain Karalis for the first-class service throughout M/Y STELLA M’s first cruising season.
