Amels has announced that on the 16th of March, 67m/219.8ft luxury yacht PROJECT WAKA received a technical launch and she will now be outfitted before her delivery over the summer months.
The project team at Amels celebrated this significant step with the Owner’s team, which included Captain Paul Bickley. The AMELS 220 exterior was created by British designer Tim Heywood, who took inspiration from the original AMELS 212 and enhanced the exterior spaces by extending the deck area and including a 65m2/699.6ft2 swim platform and beach club.
The interiors from Winch Design were custom created for the Owner and cover seven en-suite staterooms as well as top quality salons and other guest areas for casual family gatherings or stately celebrations. In total, guests and visitors have 1,150m2/12,300ft2 of space on board inside and out, with an abundance of storage space for two 8m/27ft tenders and water toys.
The technical achievements of M/Y WAKA ensure that she is fuel efficient: Her Full Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) and energy recovery systems are cutting edge, providing travellers with excellent performance, stability and comfort.
