Dutch manufacturer, AMELS, is proud to announce the sale of the second 74-metre (242’) AMELS 242 superyacht in its Limited Editions range, representing the third luxury vessel 70 metres presently in build at AMELS. Announced shortly before this week’s Monaco Yacht Show, the sale of second AMELS 242 yacht undoubtedly confirms the value, quality, as well as sophistication that AMELS offers for very large yachts.
The second motor yacht AMELS 242 boasts exceptionally sleek and elegant exterior lines by Tim Heywood, with luxury interiors created by Andrew Winch Designs. She boasts an elongated aft deck, creating gorgeous outdoor luxury spaces and a light as well as airy volume at 1,787 gross tonnes.
“This yacht will have a very different character to the first AMELS 242,” says AMELS Managing Director, Rob Luijendijk. “This is precisely why our Limited Editions concept has worked so well. The customisation, the very high level of quality and the proven platform, combined with faster delivery, creates a very attractive proposition.”
Construction of the first mega yacht AMELS 242 is well underway, with delivery scheduled for early 2016. Next year will see AMELS also deliver the first AMELS 272 yacht, the largest in the Limited Editions range, measuring impressive 83 meters.
The yard’s expertise in large yachts continues with AMELS Full Custom, offering true one-off creations in the 80 to 110-metre segment. Moreover, AMELS Refit has recently finished extensive works on the 96,80-metre mega yacht VAVA II, arguably the largest superyacht ever refitted in the Netherlands.
