Dutch shipyards Amels and Damen have announced which of their vessels will be in attendance at the Monaco yacht Show 2019: Motor yachts AURORA BOREALIS, HERE COMES THE SUN, ELIXIR, JOY RIDER and SHADOW, representing a wide selection of luxury yachts and support yachts models from their respective shipyards.
At the show, there will be a newly designed hospitality area, where current Owners and potential clients can meet the experienced team and find out more about the latest yachting developments in the Amels Limited Editions, Full Custom and Refit ranges as well as the Damen SeaXplorer and Yacht Support ranges.
The two-tier stand will provide private meeting places, scale models of the range up on the second floor and a cafe set-up where guests can savour the classic Dutch treat ‘Stroopwafels’, made from thinly layered baked dough filled with caramel syrup. Every afternoon throughout the MYS, there is the opportunity for the press and visitors to speak with leading industry professionals at the ‘Meet the Rockstar’ event.
83m/272ft superyacht HERE COMES THE SUN is the flagship for Amels and is debuting at a yacht show for the first time since her launch in 2017. As the first of the AMELS 272 model, she comes fitted with accommodation for 12 over 10 en-suite cabins, plus a sundeck Jacuzzi, infinity pool, and a beach club with a spa centre.
Motor yacht AURORA BOREALIS is an AMELS 220 model measuring 67.1m that accommodates 14 guests across seven well-appointed en-suite cabins, two of which are VIP staterooms on the bridge deck that have French windows. The seven-person Jacuzzi is one of the crowning features on board.
Damen 46m/151ft support yacht JOY RIDER is the shipyard’s latest delivery and her contemporary styling makes her a delight for use either as a stand-alone vessel or as part of a fleet. She is also making her public debut and notable features include an impressive high-performance deck crane, plenty of aft space for water toys, vehicles and tenders, and luxury yacht features such as a sun deck for relaxation, a spacious main deck salon, a touch-n’-go helipad. Six guests and seven crew/staff benefit from the stabilisers and patented Sea Axe platform for excellent comfort while cruising and at anchor.
The Monaco Yacht Show runs from the 25th of September until the 28th of September, with over 580 exhibitors and 125 superyachts in attendance for the 2019 event.
