The ‘Imagine’ Yacht is Launched & Underway and she is the first Amels LIMITED EDITIONS 212 Superyacht.
Two days ago the 65.5 m motor yacht IMAGINE was launched by Amels in Holland. Yacht IMAGINE is the first Amels 212 LIMITED EDITIONS luxury yacht to be completed and launched and she marks a milestone for the well known superyacht builder. She is the largest yacht so far built of any of the Limited Editions series.
Superyacht Imagine also has a sister ship currently being built by Amels which is scheduled to be launched in 2012 – one of 10 or so yachts under construction at Vlissingen shipyard which is running at 100% capacity. M/Y Imagine’s sister-ship has been designed with a large and impressive owners’ suite and deck, demonstrating the flexibility of layout of the LIMITED EDITIONS yacht.
M/Y ‘Imagine’ is around 1503 gross tons and she was designed by Andrew Winch (interior) and a Tim Heywood (elegant exterior design). She has a master suite and two large VIP type cabins – on the bridge deck – both with balconies that are accessed from within the cabins.
Motor Yacht ‘Imagine’ is currently sailing to Southampton, UK before heading to the Mediterranean for the 2011 summer and she is planned to be displayed by AMELS at the 2011 Monaco Yacht Show. She departed from Amels and Vlissingen, in The Netherlands a few days ago.
The Amels 212 motor yacht features a centrally located glass elevator which enables easy and elegant access to all parts of the Imagine yacht, such as the ‘wet feet’ bar (positioned on the sun deck) and the large Beach Club (located at the boat’s stern). There is ample storage for a range of beach toys and also for two 8.5m tenders.
