Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche has announced the sale of the fourth hull in the Darwin Class 86 series, expedition yacht STELLA DEL NORD, to Italian singer and songwriter Andrea Bocelli.

Immediately following the handover, he sailed to Naples in stormy weather conditions and arrived on time to hold a concert.
First launched in 2015, E/Y STELLA DEL NORD has received excellent care from her previous Owner and has been put up for sale in as-new condition. Andrea Bocelli is an experienced yachtsman having owned several luxury yachts in the past, and is now making the move into explorer yachts for worldwide travel in comfort with his family, even in the most severe weather conditions. The general layout on board allows for a minimal crew of four to operate the fuel-efficient vessel under 200 GT.
In addition to technical after-sales services, CdM provides new Owners with the opportunity to personalise the interiors through the Technical and Production teams in conjunction with the Interior Design Department, and brand new private berths at the shipyard ready for this refit procedure.
The interior decor currently has elm wood panelling and iroko flooring in two salons and the four guest cabins located on the lower deck. There is also a sizeable lazarette for storage, and a 5m/16ft tender can be stored on the upper deck aft.
The twin Caterpillar 287 kW CAT C12 engines allow for a top speed of 11.5 knots and an exhaustive range of 6,700 nautical miles at 8.5 knots. M/Y STELLA DEL NORD is also fitted with easily maintained redundant equipment to increase safety on trips to remote areas.
