Andrew Weir Yacht Management, the world’s foremost yacht and superyacht management company, is thrilled to announce that they have been contracted as the sole provider of technical management services to the outstanding motor yacht Eclipse. Built by the premier German shipyard Blohm + Voss to a design by bespoke Terence Disdale in 2010, the 162,5m (533′) mega yacht Eclipse represents one of the largest luxury vessels in the world.

The technical management services to be provided to superyacht Eclipse by AWYM will include the provision of a full ISM system and related services including the appointment of a DPA and 24-hour emergency response. Technical Services will include the implementation and approval of a new planned maintenance system and liaison between Flag State, Class and the yacht.

A key factor with this technical management contract is that AWYM will work in partnership with the yacht’s onboard management team. “Every management contract is different, and in most cases, “top-down” management simply doesn’t work in the yachting industry. Our service to Eclipse will be as flexible as possible and management decisions will be taken in conjunction with the client’s representatives to ensure that the operation of the yacht is never compromised,” added Daniel Taylor, Business Development Manager of AWYM.
With the addition of luxury yacht Eclipse, Andrew Weir Yacht Management now provide services to a fleet in excess of 15 large private and charter yachts.
