Extra Yachts, part of ISA Yachts, has announced a new motor catamaran range which will commence with the VILLA X30 luxury yacht.
The EXTRA VILLA series is the shipyard’s first foray into catamarans, and the model was designed with casual living and contact with the water in mind for the Owner and guests. As such, the 30.5m/100ft motor catamaran features panoramic views from the interior, plus an open plan multi-level layout with the stability and broad 13.7m/45ft beam that two hulls provide. Furthermore, a shallow draft of only 0.9m/3ft gives access to the world’s greatest beaches and anchorages that mono-hulled yachts of a similar length may not be able to reach.
The VILLA X30 will be powered by two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines that give a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12.5 knots. Glass impregnated solar cells produce additional energy for hotel loads, and a hybrid propulsion system significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
Sustainable, reclaimed or natural materials have been used to furnish the living areas, which can be modified to suit the Owner’s requirements. Of note is the high/low platform on the main deck stern, capable of supporting a tender over 5m/16.4ft in length as well as a selection of water toys. Furthermore, the platform can be aligned with swim platforms to extend the beach area.
The standard layout has a library nook, bar and galley within the main salon, plus a raised wheelhouse and observatory.
The accommodation includes VIP staterooms that have direct access to the transom, and the Master suite has its own private lounge, a lower level his-and-hers bathroom and, an outdoor terrace placed between the two hulls.
The VILLA X30 luxury catamaran is sure to prove a success in shallow charter grounds such as the Bahamas, Seychelles and Maldives, while providing ample accommodation and amenities to those on board.
