Taken place in Port Lucaya, Grand Bamahas, from May 3 to 5, this year’s Third Annual Horizon Owner Rendezvous was hosted by Horizon Yacht US dealer. The largest rendezvous gathering yet, the event was attended by nine yachts, ranging in size from 60 to 136 feet.
Horizon’s rendezvous weekend kicked off on Friday afternoon with Yacht Hops on board the Horizon E88 (exampled is Mechtilda yacht) and 82’ motor yacht “Sweet Sarah,” followed by a cocktail party at Port Lucaya Marina and dinner at the popular Flying Fish restaurant. The Horizon V74 luxury yacht “Satori” had owners and guests on board for a Yacht Hop Brunch on Saturday morning, and everyone was treated to a private afternoon beach party at Bayberry Beach, complete with beautiful blue water, beach games, Bahamian barbeque and a bonfire.
A Sunday farewell brunch closed out the official rendezvous weekend, but many owners held their own festivities on Sunday and into Monday, inviting other owners and guests on board to continue the celebration. “We had a fantastic rendezvous with our Horizon group in Port Lucaya,” said Roger Sowerbutts of Horizon Yacht US dealer. “The weather was gorgeous and the location was unbeatable, and we had a few new faces this year, which is always a wonderful thing. We really enjoyed seeing old friends catch up and new ones being made.”
