Every year in Antigua there is an important Chef Competition for the best food as created by the chefs on the dozens of charter yachts in attendance. The 2010 winners of the Antigua Charter Yacht Show Meeting Chef Competition in the Caribbean have now been selected. The list below highlights some very accomplished chefs and charter yachts that currently represent the best standards and creativity in culinary delights.
The 11th Annual Charter Chefs Competition was a close battle between extremely talented chefs in three categories of 10 yachts each. The test was to produce small plates of local sustainable cuisine in a taster menu format. The sponsors were Piper Heidsick Champagne, Boat International, Showboats , Dockwalk, Liat Quikpak and Caribbean Coffee Roasters amongst others. With fabulous prizes donated by Shore Solutions, Susie’s Hot Sauce and 2 night stays from 6 of our leading hotels in Antigua.

1st place winner Tarina Shadgett from Casino Royale
Luxury Yacht Category 111-159ft:
3rd place Danielle Stone from Red Anchor
2nd place Patrick Roney from Monte Carlo
1st place Brigett Rosemann from Fathom
Traditional Category 110ft and under:
3rd place is a tie with Croydon Cole from Rapture
and Taylor Reilly from The Lady J
2nd place goes to Nathan Clements of Serenity Now
1st place winner goes to: Susanna Jokkala of Magic Cat

Effort award – Mark Miles from Pacific Wave for performing under extreme stress and late arrival having finished a charter in the Virgin Islands 24 hrs prior to the competition.
