Positioned in the fabulous Middle Eastern yacht charter destination – Abu Dhabi and operated as well as managed by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, Yas Marina is marking an important milestone in its expansion by revealing an appetizing line-up of five new restaurants and a variety of new features as well as facilities to open at the Marina later this year.
The tenants, which include new and internationally recognised names, will strengthen Yas Island’s growing culinary credentials and solidify Yas Marina’s profile as Abu Dhabi’s newest dining and entertainment precinct. In addition to the new restaurants, a new management office (Capitainerie), children’s play area, interactive fountain and dedicated pedestrian-friendly waterfront walkways are also set to add to the Marina’s community-focused atmosphere.
Speaking of the announcement, Yas Marina General Manager Cedric Le Rest said, “The addition of these five new outlets and the return of a revamped Stars ‘N’ Bars and Cipriani to the Yas Marina community marks a major milestone in our redevelopment.
“As we continue our transformation into a vibrant dining and entertainment precinct that will include children’s play areas, a pedestrian promenade and valet parking facilities we’re delighted to offer members of the marine, Abu Dhabi and international communities unique new dining options in an inspired setting with fantastic views of the Marina.”
International eateries set to enter the Abu Dhabi dining scene by opening at Yas Marina include Spanish tapas restaurant Diablito Food and Music as well as Iris, a well-known Beirut based rooftop lounge and restaurant. Well-known in Spain and Lebanon respectively, these two successful restaurants bring internationally proven and successful concepts to the Marina and are anticipated to be widely popular with both UAE visitors and members of the community.
Diablito Food and Music adds a Spanish flair to the waterside precinct as it offers diners Spanish and Tex-Mex tastes in a new two-story venue that features an indoor-outdoor terrace with stunning panoramic views. For something fun and fashionable, Iris offers an elegant and stylish setting to enjoy drinks at sunset and fresh seasonal dishes for dinner whilst patrons enjoy mellow lounge music and live performances.
The same management team that brought local favourite Ornina Restaurant and Lounge to Abu Dhabi is also set to open a fantastic new casual seafood restaurant at Yas Marina. A great addition to the Marina’s new gourmet offering and destined to be popular with the local community, the restaurant will offer the freshest catches of the day in an inspired waterside setting with panoramic marina views.
Also confirmed to open at Yas Marina, is Café d’Alsace, a brassiere-style café and bakery serving French-German specialities and freshly baked goods inspired by the Alsace region. The relaxed family-friendly setting allows for a freshly baked croissant at breakfast, a sumptuous sandwich for lunch or a hearty European speciality later in the day. Rozanah, a contemporary Lebanese restaurant that mixes traditional Arabic entertainment with modern dining, also joins the line-up. Arabic bread including saj will be amongst a wide selection of unique Lebanese specialities to be prepared by one of Beirut’s renowned Chefs. Combined with shisha service, the restaurant is set to lift the bar in terms of Lebanese dining in Abu Dhabi.
In addition to the new dining options, long-standing Marina favourites Stars ‘N’ Bars and Cipriani are set to return, Stars ‘N’ Bars with an extended terrace and new shisha lounge, and Cipriani with a new addition.
Along with the new dining and entertainment options, the new Capitainerie will add further benefits for Yas Marina members as it offers features such as terraces with picturesque views as well as facilities that include new bathrooms. This combination of licensed restaurants, updated landscaping and new pedestrian areas for friends and families to enjoy and relax in further bolsters Yas Marina’s evolution into a day to night destination for people of all ages.
