Applications for the prominent 2014 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export and Superyacht Awards are now open, closing on April 1, 2014. The winners will be unveiled at the Gala Dinner, set to take place at Sanctuary Cove on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Superyacht Australia continues to drive support for the Australian marine export and superyacht industries with a strong focus on ensuring these businesses are recognised for their innovation, excellence, skills and service to the industry.
AIMEX is also very excited to be able to confirm the continued support of Club Marine. Club Marine are a key player in the Australian leisure boating marine insurance sector and without this support initiatives like these awards would not go ahead.
These prestigious Awards will be announced at the Gala Dinner to be held on the first evening of the ASMEX conference, May 20, at Sanctuary Cove’s InterContinental Resort, Queensland.
These awards provide significant global profile for award entrants and winners. In 2013 VEEM Limited won the prestigious ‘Exporter of the Year’ award, ‘Best Marine Industry Marketing Strategy’ award and the ‘Most Innovative Marine Industry Exported Product or Service’ award. Other winners included M-Tech (Marine Technologies), Aurora Global Logistics, Riviera Australia and Muir Winches. John Muir was awarded the Marine Export & Superyacht Industry Champion and inducted into the Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Industry Hall of Fame.
Businesses use this opportunity when preparing their award application to really analyse their business and marketing plans and many comment that in just entering the awards they have found real benefits by reviewing the outcomes from current strategies and the future business focus.
The judges announced for 2014 are Barry Jenkins – a well known marine industry personality, Ian Murray – Executive Chairman of the Export Council of Australia, Ken Evans – previously Mercury Marine and currently working in the industry as a consultant and David McQueen, an industry stalwart and previous Chairman of SYBA. A senior representative from Austrade will compliment this panel.
