The Cannes Yachting Festival 2019 has been used by many shipyards and design houses to debut their latest luxury yachts or announce their latest concepts, however few push the boundaries of yacht design as much as Zuccon International Project who have created the BGX70 motor yacht from a concept by Bluegame founder Luca Santella.
The 21m/68.9ft motor yacht BGX70 has some impressive new interior and exterior features from Bernardo and Martina Zuccon from their constant research and development to create new yacht designs.
“[The] BGX70 is a fascinating and challenging project, the brainchild of Luca Santella, a man with a long-standing deep passion for the sea who, as a former Olympic athlete, experiences the sea with an enthusiasm that goes beyond his entrepreneurial spirit,” said Luca Santella.
Constructed with a fibreglass hull, the exterior boasts broad spaces while the interiors were made from organic fabrics, woods and leathers to create a create connection with the natural world. Complimentary shades and colours were chosen to create harmony and a white outer appearance contrasted by various shades of wood to accentuate the maritime environment.
“BGX70 testifies to the great research work undertaken by the firm and by Bluegame in recent years: Both of us are looking into approaches and on-board lifestyles that differ from traditional ones.”
The design takes the best modern trends to create a comfortable vessel for long-term cruising where guests can use the environment for a different purpose, such as sunbathing or parties on the open stern.
The lounge is built on two levels and is connected by an internal staircase to form two separate living areas. The indoor and outdoor areas flow together when the glass sliding doors are pulled back, and the flexibility of the design allows for the partitioning of various sections as the Owner requires.
Luxury yacht BGX70 represents a new direction for Bluegame and offers the market greater flexibility in on board living spaces aboard a compact and contemporary luxury yacht.
