Nestled in the fabulous Caribbean yacht charter destination – St Kitts, Christophe Harbour has been causing a stir with its large freehold berths as well as amazing benefits for yachts. Those benefits have now increased once again with the addition of a standout new waterside venue for luxury yacht charter visitors and owners, called ‘SALT Plage’.
The new beach bar in Whitehouse Bay offers barefoot luxury to owners or guests. Welcoming visitors arriving by sea, or by land, a pier stretching 82 feet into the bay, and offering 1,450 square feet to dock tenders, pulls guests in from the sea with an inviting spread of loungers.
Luxury yacht charter guests will have their pick of spot to watch a Caribbean sunset while they enjoy the best of the bar’s open air design. SALT Plage opened this week and has already delighted guests with innovative cocktails, and Christophe Harbour’s signature seaside living with soul, approach.
“SALT Plage complements the Southeast Peninsula’s existing hospitality offerings and is a great addition to the Christophe Harbour collection of amenities,” says Buddy Darby, Christophe Harbour CEO.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far for mixing and mingling under the Caribbean moonlight.”
Though the amenity itself is modern, its roots are historic, with the name a firm nod to the thriving salt export business which occupied the site in the 1940s. The John Denton Haley-designed facility is striking; incorporating the foundations of the old salt warehouse and with its 82-foot pier jutting into the bay demanding attention.
Christophe Harbour itself presents something unprecedented in the superyacht world. The exceptional St. Kitts yacht charter destination development is being crafted from the ground up by an experienced superyacht owner, set on creating a marina which serves superyachts every advantage.
In a location ripe to be developed – St. Kitts yacht rental location completes the triangle of cruising destinations between Antigua and St. Maarten – Christophe Harbour will appeal to savvy owners and captains who have drawn their own conclusions that there’s a better way to do things. Berths are freehold, not leasehold, and come with the opportunity to gain citizenship in a nation with no personal tax and with no residency requirement for citizenship. While the marina ground-breaking itself is due to take place on 20 June, and the first set of berths are due to be completed at the end of this year, charter yachts have already begun to take advantage of the destination’s appeal for guests.
Open cruising grounds, superyacht-friendly legislation and an inclusive, welcoming culture round out this new yachting space which has seen owners, captains, managers and industry influencers alike, sit up and take notice.
