Aeronautiq, who also designed the 68m mega yacht Hercule, has partnered with the carbon fibre marine specialists, The Composite Studio, for their latest offering, called ‘Aurora’. This represents a bespoke and limited edition set of dining furniture for luxury charter yachts, hand crafted from the finest materials, which comprise gold leaf as well as high quality veneer.

Strong, lightweight and durable, Aurora has been specifically designed for use on-board a luxury charter yacht, whether its place is in one of the dining areas or out on deck.
As space is often at a premium, the unique qualities of this set make it both versatile and practical, allowing it to be easily moved around depending on the needs of the yacht or the owner’s wishes, providing greater flexibility especially for those yachts catering more for the charter market. An additional feature of this also allows it to be transferred more easily between the yacht and the owner’s private residence, should it be so desired.
Ideally suited for the yacht charter market, Aurora boasts a unique design, which can be arranged to host a small dining party of 6, or divided into two separate sets, such as for morning coffee or an intimate dining experience.
Carbon fibre is certainly the material of choice, not only for its obvious properties and benefits, but also because of its visual aesthetic, which the design works to compliment through its modern styling. Olivier Dorrell, of Aeronautiq, explains: “There was really only one material that had the strength, appearance and versatility that we were seeking for such an exclusive product. Carbon fibre not only looks fabulous and emphasises Aurora’s form and lines, but embraces the manufacturing process, resulting in fewer changes during the design process and an outcome closer to our original vision”.
Purposeful lines and sharp edginess, together with just the right amount of detail, is key to the set’s minimalistic appeal. An elegant dining experience aboard a luxury charter yacht should be complimented by a luxurious dining set, that is both as subtle as it is beautiful.
