The 2011 Australian Superyacht and Marine Export Conference (ASMEX) is attracting considerable interest from International companies wanting to learn more about the Australian Superyacht Sector.
Superyacht Australia CEO MaryAnne Edwards said “we already have registered interest from the USA, UK, Taiwan, China, the Middle East and New Zealand and we have not sent out registration forms yet or the full conference programme.”
Edwards said “despite the short time frame to organize the conference to coincide with Sanctuary Cove Boat Show the numbers look exciting.”
The conference will focus on key issues affecting the industry, profiling Australia’s refit and repair facilities plus showcasing Australia as a truly unique, sophisticated and iconic cruising destination.
Key note speakers include Iain Murray CEO and Americas Cup Regatta Director and Ms Carla Demaria of Monte Carlo Yachts and will certainly provide an international flavor for the conference. Edwards confirmed that the excellent line up of key industry professionals, government stakeholders and personalities will ensure this conference provides value and current industry knowledge for attendees.
This conference is about providing a platform for the industry to network, learn and understand what the current situation is and where the future opportunities lie. The conference is focused on quality not quantity with the programme commencing 17th May immediately prior to Sanctuary Cove Boat Show. The conference will be held at Sanctuary Cove and will include excellent networking opportunities and social functions.
Feedback from exhibitors has suggested that this conference is a valuable addition to the show with most exhibitors expected to participate.
