The largest Italian leisure boat group is showing its collections in Miami. The stage is set on Collins Avenue, where 12 Azimut and 4 Atlantis yachts will be the stars of a “Made in Italy” event that is taking over new space.
The Miami Boat Show is filling the city: four exhibition halls, meeting a range of styles – from the large motoryachts, to sailing, to fishing boats, to small leisure craft. The Azimut Benetti Group will be goodwill ambassadors for Italian production and will take centre stage with its boats.
The Flybridge Collection by Azimut – the historic range of 38 to 100-foot yachts, designed specifically for people who are looking for boats that offer maximum cruising comfort for their size – leads the parade with the Azimut 38, the entry model of the collection, yet still packed with exceptional features: a flybridge model that has received special attention from our competitors and from the market paying renewed attention to smaller yachts. Garnering success in every show where it has been presented, the Azimut 38 is the result of very hard work that has redefined the standards in its size, offering something completely new in terms of liveability and style. The Azimut 38 has a large owner’s cabin at the bow and a central cabin with twin beds. Every cabin features an en-suite bathroom and the central zone is well lit thanks to the large side windows. Equipped with two Cummins 355 mhp engines, it can achieve top speeds of 32 knots.

The other two new flybridge models sure to be successful on the American market are the Azimut 48 and Azimut 82. The former is a very practical yacht, which is certain to become a player in the highly competitive 15-meter market with its three cabins and three bathrooms, its expansive 15 square metres of living space, and room for guests on the upper deck. It is an amazing boat in just fifteen metres of overall length. With the Azimut 82, the Group brings its wealth of experience in large yachts, where the desire to express an absolutely superior quality product translates into the satisfaction of offering something more. Not only by working with the space, but also in the details that make it a complete product. This yacht has been designed by Stefano Righini and the interior by Carlo Galeazzi. The outdoor living space reaches up to 100 square metres, with a lifting swim platform on the main deck, the large fly with its whirlpool tub. Azimut 82 has a spacious owner’s cabin at the centre, a VIP cabin and two double rooms with twin beds.

The – S Collection by Azimut– the sporty series that blends superior agility, high performance and comfort under the banner of innovation – is represented in Miami by two yachts: Azimut emphasizes its penchant for innovation with the Azimut 40S, new to the North American market and the entry model of the sport collection. An example of its advanced innovation was the first glassed wall installed on a mass-produced yacht. This feature has since been used on other models. Equipped with two Cummins 480 mhp engines, the Azimut 40S can achieve top speeds of 35 knots.

On Collins Avenue you’ll also see the Azimut 72S, an extremely comfortable sportfly: its main deck has a beautiful living area that overlooks a large cockpit; under the deck there is an enormous full beam owner’s cabin at midship, in addition to two other cabins and crew quarters. Equipped with two Man V 12 1800 mhp engines, it can reach top speeds of 39 knots. One of the innovative new features is the advanced joystick which controls the boat from the flybridge.

Azimut Grande 116, the largest yacht on display belongs to the Grande Collection – which includes planing boats over 30 meters long, with a renewed vocation in terms of customisation, catering for the ideas of the owners. Thee new projects have been announced in the Grande Collection: Azimut Grande 120 SL, the Azimut Grande 100 and an Azimut Grande Trideck, measuring more than 130 feet. To fully satisfy the requirements of the owners, the shipyard has decided to offer full customisation of the boat, a process involving a Personal Design Equipe. This team will be responsible for transforming dreams and desires into reality. This design team can reach the shipowner anywhere in the world, discuss with him, understand his ideas and quickly translate these ideas into a real design that can match the owner’s personal style of boating.
Azimut Grande 116 Motor Yacht
There were plenty of novelties introduced by Atlantis: after its European success, the Azimut Benetti Group shipyard is back in Miami with four yachts: from the spectacular Verve 36 to the Atlantis 54. Atlantis Verve 36 has a slightly different mission: plug and cruise. It is a day cruiser that offers a perfect blend of versatility and functionality, where attention to quality and finishing is all one could hope for. A versatile design that meets a wide range of uses: swimming with the family, fishing, a few nights at anchor in full peace of mind. The large cockpit has everything one could possibly need for outdoor life. The cabin has a king-size bed, bathroom and cooking area. With its two Volvo Penta 370 mhp engines, the Verve 36 can easily reach speeds of 40 knots.
Atlantis 40, the second new item for this American boating season, is a next generation sport cruiser in which the stern and the cockpit become the centre of life on board, versatile living spaces that can be enjoyed and used instinctively and spontaneously. More than the dimensions of the individual elements – often remarkable, such as the aft platform or the chaise longue located beside the double piloting seat – what makes this model special is the perfect size of the whole boat that strikes a balance between sporty and functional.
Two shows will be going on concurrently in Miami, the Miami International Boat Show & Strictly Sail and the Yacht & Brokerage Boat Show. The shows open on February 17 and end on February 23 and will occupy four exhibition halls. The stands of the Azimut Benetti Group are located on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach – RAMP 31. The engagement is considered by many to be the most important in the United States but it is also a key show for the entire American continent, attracting customers from the south and Latin American countries.
