Milano-based designers Santa Maria Magnolfi have designed a new 55m displacement yacht for Baglietto to join their latest steel/aluminium and full aluminium range.
Following Baglietto’s military-inspired style, the new yacht features bold lines and a straight bow similar to the 41m Baglietto design recently presented at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Balance between internal and external deck space is a key feature of the design, while a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots is achieved by 2 x Caterpillar 3512B HD DITA-SCAC engines. A hybrid version will also be available to offer owners customisation.
In the current design, the lower deck there is a gym and spa with direct access to the sea via a swim platform. A tender garage towards the aft stores a 7.5m tender while a second garage in the bow stores jet skis and the water toys.
The main deck has 90 m² of open living areas as well as a separate formal dining room of 21m² that can be converted into a meeting room by sliding panels. The Owner suite has an office and a terrace that opens out for quick access to the sea breeze and uninterrupted views of the location.
The upper deck has over 280m² of exterior deck space and on the bow there is a 6 metre pool. Inside aft of the wheelhouse there is a spacious cinema that opens onto the alfresco dining area where up to 20 guests can be seated at the central table.
For ease of access, there is a lift (elevator) connection the three main decks and the under lower layout contains storage and a laundry which is accessed through the crew quarters.
The Baglietto shipyard is currently constructing 5 superyachts: the MV19 prototype, a 55 metre displacement yacht, a 43 metre Baglietto Fast and two 48m displacement yachts. The first project is expected to be completed in summer 2018.
Baglietto will be attending the Versilia Yachting Rendez Vous in Viareggio from 11-14 of May with 46m LUCKY ME and 43m PACHAMAMA.
