The year 2014 is going to be very special for Baglietto, the historical shipyard based in La Spezia, which was established in 1854 and is therefore celebrating its 160th anniversary. The new year has indeed started with an important success, with the signature of a new order for a 54m steel and aluminium displacement yacht, penned by Francesco Paszkowski Design. The all-new 54m Baglietto superyacht is scheduled for delivery to her European Owner in summer 2015.
The new 54m Baglietto yacht draws inspiration from Baglietto’s well-established product line of 53m crafts, like charter yacht Blue Scorpion, superyacht Gitana and luxury yacht Baraka, but features renovated volumes and restyled lines which follow the style of the new Baglietto production signed by Francesco Paszkowski Design: a combination of geometric shapes and very sleek, sinuous exterior lines, while the very streamlined bow reminds of Nordic boats.
Two Caterpillar 3512B engines will deliver the 54m Baglietto luxury yacht a maximum speed of approximately 17 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.
Baglietto is currently building the 54m and two 46m displacement yachts and a 58m yacht which is undergoing tank trials; among planing yachts, a 43m and a 46m are under construction and a 38m craft is at the design stage.
Below is a selection of the oustanding charter yachts built by Baglietto.
