Another spectacular place to visit on a Florida Keys yacht vacation are the Dry Tortugas. This is a cluster of seven islands, composed of coral reefs and sand. Together with the surrounding shoals and waters, they make up Dry Tortugas National Park. Dry Tortugas are renowned for their bird and marine life as well as the legends of pirates and sunken gold. Fort Jefferson, one of the largest coastal forts ever constructed, is the central feature of these islands.
