One of the most awaited yacht launches of the year must be the one from Baltic Yachts, who are at the moment preparing the 43.3m (142ft) sailing yacht CANOVA to hit the water in the upcoming days. The yacht was designed by Micheletti & Partners, both for exteriors and interiors, while Baltic Yachts also collaborated on the design of the interiors.
This highly innovative long-distance cruising yacht will feature accommodation in one master cabin, one VIP cabin and one guest cabin, with additional accommodation for a crew of three.
CANOVA is the first superyacht fitted with a transverse Dynamic Stability System foil, which will reduce her heel angle while increasing speed and dampen pitching for additional comfort while sailing. She features diesel-electric propulsion and hydro-generating system, allowing for reduced fossil fuel and increasing the possibility for longer periods of ‘silent’ mode sailing.
The electric propulsion motor is powered by lithium-ion batteries, which are charged by both traditional generators as well as propeller-driven hydro-generation. This yacht promises to be fast, offering efficiency and great performance.
When it comes to liveable spaces on board, the yacht has a large deck saloon and a spacious well-appointed cockpit, protected by a Bimini offering a great area to relax.
