Luxury 44.6m/146ft sailing yacht PATH has successfully completed her sea trials off Jakobstad and has now been delivered to her Owner.
The Baltic 146 model is the third-largest hull by volume to be delivered by the shipyard, and S/Y PATH sports a distinctive grey hull with an orange waterline that is matched on her sails. She is designed as a modern bluewater cruising yacht built for comfort, speed and manoeuvrability due in part to her lightweight composite hull and the experienced hand of naval architect judel/vrolijk & co, who also created her interior and exterior styling.
Amongst her notable features is a versatile sail plan designed for a short-handed crew to easily operate, maintaining peak sailing performance in a variety of conditions. The lifting keel reduces the draft from 5.9m/19.4ft to 3.4m/11.2ft, and the forward-facing Saildrive Propulsion System (SPS) can rotate up to 340° for manoeuvrability.
Solar panels across 60m2/645.8ft2 of the coach roof can generate up to 8kW for reduced reliance on fuel. IMO Tier III credentials allow for cruising in environmentally sensitive regions.
The deck salon and cockpit are joined together for effortless flow inside and out. A hardtop bimini extends over the cockpit for use in less clement weather and intense sunshine.
Within, the accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests over five en-suite cabins and a crew of eight including the Captain over four crew cabins. In addition to the accommodation and salon with a dining area, there is storage for two tenders and two sailing dinghies for transport and entertainment.
Sailing yacht PATH intends to cruise the world over, with her first voyage taking her from Finland to the Mediterranean, where she will make her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2021, running from the 22nd to the 25th of September.
