Spanish naval architects Barracuda Yacht Design have released a new 62m/203ft motor yacht concept known as the BARRACUDA 62M luxury yacht that spans five decks and features full-height windows in the hull.
The bow design is a hybrid of a plumb and raked bow, combining classic ship elements with modern trends to create an imposing silhouette. The dark, almost black hull covers the lower deck as well as the forward half of the main deck, and the steel-coloured superstructure invokes a sense of naval heritage. Bold horizontal lines further add to this ‘yacht with attitude’ while providing an abundance of space on board for Owners to personalise.
The foredeck is designed with the capacity to host a helicopter, and below there is ample storage space for two tenders which are launched and retrieved through two side hatches.
The lower deck swim platform is designed with a swimming pool within, and the beach club spa wellness centre comes with a sauna and hair salon.
The accommodation consists of six en-suite cabins spread across three decks: The Master suite has the entire upper deck dedicated to the Owner, and above there is an additional private lounge and aft terrace.
The VIP stateroom has its own private balcony and is situated behind the helm station on the bridge deck, where guests have easy access to the skylounge.
The main deck hosts the four remaining guest suites in addition to a generous aft-facing salon and a formal dining area close to the glass sliding doors outside.
Barracuda Yacht Design has produced naval architecture for both sailing yachts and motor yachts, with an eye for construction, design, refit, conversion and restoration.
