Wild Group International, the world renowned company providing outstanding finishes to yachts as an alternative solution to paint, has unveiled the benefits of their fantastic foil and film finishes in the luxury yacht charter industry. The company has recently refurbished the 28-metre charter yacht Asha.
Wild Group recognised the inconvenience of time for charter yachts and the benefits of using foils and films almost twenty years ago and the company are now known globally for their outstanding finishes to yachts as an alternative solution to paint. This year saw another step forward in the future of finishing as Wild Group also became the approved applicators of the new and highly researched thicker, clear coated and more durable Farben foils and films just recently launched into the industry.
Having very little time between seasons and also between charters, the top quality vinyl finishes have proven to be the right choice for many yachts time and again. The yachts can remain in the water whilst the project is being completed and can receive a new look in just a few days size depending. The finish will last from between 6 to 8 years or possibly longer depending on how well it is maintained.
Foil and film finishes do not go cloudy and are very easy to clean and repair if necessary. Your yacht will also be protected well against the elements including damaging UV rays. The cost of vinyl finishing, otherwise known as wrapping, is also extremely economical with a saving of typically two thirds of the cost of traditional finishes due to the considerable reduction of labour time.
Yachts, especially charter yachts are expected to always be in tip top condition. With Wild Groups fantastic foil and film finishes it is always possible to maintain this criteria.
So if one’s yacht is in need of a little or a lot of TLC, a foil or film finish could be just what one is looking for.
One such example of this is recently refurbished 28m motor yacht Asha.Charter yachts are all accustomed to wear and tear and this yacht was no exception.
The interior was suffering from water damage and sun bleach leaving parts of the interior looking tired and faded. The shower heads were also discolouring and cracking.
A specialist vinyl film application was applied skilfully by the Wild Group team behind the bridge, and in the corridors and staircase leading to the flybridge. A white foil was also applied to the ceilings in the showers. The result gave an immediate refreshment to the interior with minimum disruption to the yacht.
The Captain of charter yacht Asha states: “Post season the interior still looks great.. we would like to schedule in works to the saloon area… The team working onboard were professional, prompt, clean workers and a pleasure to deal with. The whole process was made easier by the great communications from start to end including the after service. Thanks Wild Group.”
