Benetti has announced the launch of its 67m/220ft FB268 superyacht ‘SEASENSE‘ at its historic shipyard in Livorno in front of the owner’s representatives, Benetti management and the shipyard workers and crew.
Her sleek silhouette was designed by the Benetti shipyard, while Dutch designer Cor D. Rover produced the elegant exterior and the interior was completed by AREA of Los Angeles in collaboration with the Benetti design team.
The steel hull and aluminium superstructure were built for an experienced superyacht owner commissioning from the Benetti shipyard for the first time.
As the name SEASENSE suggests, the owner wanted a design focused on as much contact with the marine environment as possible, and the prioritisation of exterior space over interiors is reflected in the design: The main deck aft features a large pool and a sun lounging area that joins onto a main salon that uses sliding glass doors to expose the interior to the best of the local climate.
In addition to the large exterior areas, the layout is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests over 6 cabins. Motor yacht SEASENSE is capable of cruising at 15 knots with a top speed of 15.5 knots. At a consistent speed of 12 knots, she is capable of 5,000 nautical miles.
Production is progressing on time and luxury yacht SEASENSE is scheduled for delivery at the end of July 2017.
