On the 30th of November, Benetti launched its first Delfino 95′ superyacht at the Viareggio facilities in Italy and christened her CHRISTELLA II.
Following on from the success of the Delfino 93′, of which 14 hulls have sold to date, Benetti have created a luxury yacht of the same size category while using an interior layout more often associated with larger superyachts.
Built for a Central European client, M/Y CHRISTELLA II is a displacement yacht with exteriors from Giorgio Cassetta Design and interiors designed by Benetti’s in-house team. She features seamless lines, broad windows and an innovative layout for a yacht of her size, capable of accommodating 10 guests over five cabins while having room for five crew members. At a length of 29m/95ft and less than 200GT, an expert owner is able to pilot the Delfino 95′ without the assistance of a captain.
In collaboration with UK-based design firm Aqualuce, the functional elements of the interiors have been stylised for a more decorative appearance. The contemporary interiors use a warm colour palette: Printed leather panels complement the Canaletto walnut of the main salon, and parquet flooring is used in the communal areas and luxurious carpets in the cabins. Eramosa marble decorates the bathrooms and changes pattern depending on whether it is cut with or across the veining.
The lower deck hosts most of the guest accommodation, which consists of two VIP staterooms separated by a sliding door, plus two twin cabins, all with en-suite facilities.
The main deck uses an open-plan layout to incorporate the salon and formal dining area, both of which benefit from the massive windows on either side that run the length of the interior. The layout places the Master suite forward and uses the full 7m/23ft beam. As requested by the owner, there is a separate wardrobe and the bathroom is fitted with a large shower compartment.
On the upper deck, the spacious aft cockpit is furnished with a large alfresco dining table shaded by an overhang that can be opened up to the elements. Towards the stern, two sofas look out over the aft for uninterrupted views of the surroundings. Forward of the helm, which includes an observer’s sofa, the stepped bow has a sofa for socialising with panoramic forward views and below there is a large sunpad area that can hide a bow Jacuzzi.
Up on the sundeck, there are two sofas, one of which is used by the helm station, to offer guests a secluded space and excellent views.
Luxury yacht CHRISTELLA II is fitted with twin 1,000 hp Man V8 engines for a top speed of 13.5 knots and has a range of 1950 nautical miles at 10 knots.
