The renowned Italian luxury yacht builder Benetti presented its new 85m Project LIFE, “Benetti Veranda Deck” as well as B.YOND 55M or the 85m Project ORO interiors at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show. The exciting new projects as well as last year’s achievements have been presented during the ‘Shaping the future’ press conference held at the Hotel Hermitage on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.
“It is a great pleasure for me to announce our new collaborations and projects today. Offering cutting-edge yachts to the market is our mission, hence the need to further expand the brand’s collaborations with the best designers in the world and announce new revolutions in the world of yachting, of which the Veranda Deck is the new standard bearer. It’s a symposium, a triumph of excellence in yachting under the Benetti flag, and I am very proud of it” stated Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group.
85m Project LIFE
The largest project presented at the conference was the 85m mega yacht Project LIFE boasting exterior design by Espen Oeino and interiors by Francois Zuretti. Øino has created a spacious superyacht based on Benetti’s unique characteristics such as the ability to imagine new lifestyles, particularly on the stern, providing a variety of interpretations of this concept throughout all decks. Vast entertainment areas and flexible meeting places are present on each deck, including a spacious revolving lounge that changes its focal point according to the time of the day.
Naturally, project LIFE is designed with the latest in technology in mind, which includes a reduction in consumption thanks to a highly efficient and optimised hull, diesel-electric propulsion with fossil and non-fossil fuel (HVO) technology and POD transmutation. Integrated solar panels collect both solar and thermal energy to power the tenders, water toys and appliances on board.
For the interior, Francois Zuretti applied a beautiful balance of colours and the surrounding environment, with plenty of natural light allowed to penetrate the inside. The design is represented by curved lines visible in the main reception area, main saloon or the upper lounge. The views of the horizon have been enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows and thanks to a particular lighting system the designer has crewed an evocative atmosphere in all of the social and relaxation areas.
Benetti Veranda Deck
One of the exciting and innovative concepts presented was the Benetti Veranda Deck, a new interpretation of the main deck lounge which hasn’t seen a real change in the past fifty years according to the builder. The new design respects the lifestyle of the new generation of owners who love the outdoors and the indoor/outdoor flow of the areas aboard their vessels. The Veranda Deck opens the space on three sides, creating a continuous environment between the lounge and the stern. It will be first seen on the Motopanfilo 45m motor yacht with exteriors by RWD and interiors by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti.
Other projects unveiled at the conference included Project B.Yond 55m by Igor Lobanov, which represents his inaugural collaboration with Benetti.
Valentina Zannier presented the interior for Project ORO which is also a first collaboration with the shipyard and represented by fluid shapes, extensive use of natural materials, and natural yet warm colours creating a refined interior space.
