Along with the announcement of four new custom BNow models, Italian luxury yacht builders Benetti unveiled two new superyachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2018: The Oasis 135′ and the Diamond 145′.

The Diamond 145′ is the flagship of the Class line and blends modern sophistication, power and efficiency with classic styling from historic Benetti models. The exteriors by Giorgio M. Cassetta are extensively glazed to create a seamless wraparound appearance for the interiors, which in turn benefit from panoramic views.

Raised gunwales and a reverse sheer line are reminiscent of luxury cruise liners and ensure excellent safety for guests of all ages while on board. The layout is designed to optimise the available space inside and out, and the beach club, in particular, hovers just above the water level.

The beautiful interiors from Achille Salvagni amplify the already voluminous rooms through the use of a light colour palette, texture and an abundance of natural illumination:
“I want to sculpt space, giving it character, dignity and strength,” Achille Salvagni commented. “I’m looking for curved lines that come together and flow. The interiors of this yacht are timeless because they unite vintage concepts with contemporary ideas. True refinement is cosmopolitan, telling stories and recollecting memories. The settings should, therefore, be interpreted as a story.”

Guests arriving by tender have access to abroad and deep swim platform, where they can choose to sit and enjoy the views with a cocktail at the fully-customizable beach club or access the main deck aft via the two side stairways. The main deck aft has a sumptuous sofa/sunbed lining the aft, with coffee tables and large chairs facing out to complete the relaxed setting. The main salon leads through to the lobby and forwards to the full-beam Master suite, with a sizeable wardrobe, en-suite bathroom and an office/study further adding to the private luxuries the occupants can enjoy.

The upper deck possesses a sizeable outdoor aft section featuring a port-side bar, an elegant alfresco dining table in the shade and an outdoor lounge area overlooking the stern. inside the skylounge 80% of the perimeter is glazed so that guests never miss the incredible scenes and receive excellent natural lighting for activities and socialising. The forward bridge has the captain’s cabin directly behind and on the 70m2 foredeck two sofa/sunpads curve around oval tables while the central foredeck area is covered in sunpads that dip down into a bow spa pool.
Flybridge
The sundeck boasts over 115m2 of space that can be furnished as the Owner desires, with the current design concept showing a massive forward sunbathing area, a shaded lounge, alfresco dining area and bar beneath the hardtop, and a sun-exposed lounge along the stern.
The galley and other service areas are efficiently laid out while at the same time ensuring that there is minimal interruption to all guests on board, and the technical spaces and life rafts are concealed within the design for an unbroken appearance inside and out.

The accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests over five cabins with the Master suite on the main deck and four double cabins on the lower deck. There is the option of placing a fifth double cabin on the upper deck, while the crew quarters and facilities are located in the bow.

In terms of speed, a pair of 1,400 HP MAN engines will allow the Diamond 145’ to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots and while cruising at 11 knots she can achieve a range of 3,800 nautical miles.
