Award-winning international architect and designer Fernando Romero has created the 77m/253ft superyacht concept SE77ANTASETTE for Benetti in their first collaboration together. SE77ANTASETTE premiered at the Monaco Yacht Show and her striking appearance is a reflection of the yard’s innovation, design, technology and hand-craftsmanship.
In a break with traditional design, luxury yacht SE77ANTASETTE uses structures that draw their inspiration from the marine habitat to create a naturally flowing environment across the decks and integrating the design features. With a beam of 14m, her large interior volume and adaptability of the living spaces will appeal to potential superyacht owners and charter guests alike.
“The decidedly innovative essence of this project, born from a perfect union between the two different worlds of yachting and civil architecture; the major difficulty was to make an already excellent product even better. If the shipyard’s identity is recognised universally as a sophisticated luxury product, then the SE77ANTASETTE elevates yachting to a higher dimension than we have ever seen before, drawing on Romero’s skill and Benetti’s know-how,” Benetti CEO Vincenzo Poerio stated.

The main deck aft leads up to an expansive terrace which can be used as a spa area with a freshwater pool, as a gym or as a place to work surrounded by fresh air and incredible views. The interior is designed for business discussions and an area has been set aside for entertaining, conducting presentations and holding private meetings with 270-degree views of the sea.
“SE77ANTASETTE is the result of analyzing the DNA of Benetti and thinking further on the possibilities that new technologies have enabled, allowing us to create an entirely new yachting experience…”
In the centre of the vessel, there is an atrium that can be used as a fully-functioning dance floor with a DJ setup, as a formal dining area or a movie theatre. The main deck is also the location of the forward master suite, which enjoys an internal area of 100m for an office or studio, plus an outdoor area of 140m that offers complete seclusion while swimming in the 1.5 metre deep pool. As part of the innovative use of space, the floor of the bow lifts up to become a touch-and-go helipad.
There are 4 guest cabins located on the lower deck along with 2 VIP staterooms, which enjoy the additional benefits of a walk-in wardrobe and access to the private terrace via sliding glass panels that use a telescopic system. A crew of 19 will ensure the smooth and efficient performance of on board systems and guest relaxation.
The most futuristic element on board is to be found on the upper deck, where an observatory made of glass provides the most secluded humidity-controlled space comprised of 8.5m long stress-tested glass slabs. An augmented reality screen is controlled by voice commands and movement sensors and offers incredible views of the starry night sky.
The design uses highly innovative technology which is noticeable in the layout of the navigation systems, the propulsion system and particularly in the radar system. Benetti’s engineers worked with leading aerospace and marine suppliers to hide the navigation equipment beneath a glass dome without impeding performance.
5 variable speed Caterpillar generators allow the use of full power available from the diesel engine, reducing the required space to only the under lower deck, providing the entire lower deck for accommodation. Mega yacht SE77ANTASETTE will be capable of a top speed of 16 knots and while cruising at 12 knots, she will have a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
Fernando Romero, founder of FR-EE, commented: “SE77ANTASETTE is the result of analyzing the DNA of Benetti and thinking further on the possibilities that new technologies have enabled, allowing us to create an entirely new yachting experience…the sinuous lines and contiguous spaces have engendered a seamless and sophisticated ecosystem of programs and connectivity. This extraordinary collaboration has seen FR-EE and Benetti successfully merge our collective expertise to realize a state-of-the art superyacht, a new craft for the 21st century.”
