Benetti Yachts launched their newest Tradition 105 motoryacht motor yacht BT24 last week on the 12th of May 2011. The technical launch of the latest yacht in the Tradition 105’ series, took place in Lusben at the Azimut-Benetti Group’s yard, located adjacent to the Benetti boatyard’s headquarters. Measuring over 31 metres, the new Tradition 105 with the hull number BT24 is part of the Benetti Class Range, Benetti’s line of boats made of composite materials.
The Tradition 105 series is designed by Stefano Righini with an interior by François Zuretti. She is able to accommodate 10 guests in a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins including two doubles and two twins on the lower deck.
Over the next several days, Lusben will commence all phases of technical verification and testing necessary before official delivery, which is scheduled for late June 2011.
The Tradition 105’ BT24 yacht will then depart for its final destination in the Mediterranean, where it will be able to host its owner and his family, giving them the pleasure of a stay on board a Benetti, a name that has always been synonymous with technology and Italian style.
The Class Tradition 105 motoryacht was designed in the wake of the success of the previous 100’ series model. Benetti’s new Tradition 105 motoryacht, which was first presented at the Cannes International Boat Show 2010 is the second of the seven models in the new Benetti Class range (first being the Delfino 93 motor yacht).
Lengthening of the hull and the new form of the stern ensure high performance in terms of sea-keeping and maneuverability and significant benefits in terms of speed and autonomy. These characteristics are achieved above all by addition of the bulb, which makes the new Tradition a real navetta with navigation standards found only in the big megayachts. The Tradition 105 yacht also features a new layout, a larger garage with a swim platform and large portholes.
The Tradition 105’ is powered by twin 747kW Caterpillar C-18 giving a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a range of 1,950 nautical miles at 12 knots.
