The renowned Italian shipyard Benetti is pleased to unveil the new model of their Displacement Class range: the Motor Yacht MEDITERRANEO 116′. The yacht was created with on board areas dedicated to emotion and pleasure, with the exterior layout being a turning point for the shipyard. The new Benetti Mediterraneo 116′ yacht (30,5 metres) is smooth and slender, showcasing the recognisable Benetti family feel, while at the same time opens a new road in styling.
Mediterraneo 116′ superyacht’s superstructure offers a feeling of flow and luminosity. Various areas flow without any interruption in the lines to the pure design. Decks are elongated towards the stern, moving the visual centre of gravity amidships, providing the boat with a balanced, dynamic and compact aspect.
The main deck of motor yacht MEDITERRANEO 116′ demonstrates the first example of the Copernican revolution in design and layout. There is a spacious six-metre-wide cockpit, providing fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding area and an intelligent use of ergonomic spaces.
The crystal doors leading to the main saloon are more than two metres wide, and together with the three-metre tall continuous windows allow for plenty of light. The saloon features three settees, two laterally facing each other an the third located forward next to a portable storage space.
Furthermore, the dining area boasts a table for twelve guests and the French windows in this area lead onto the exterior walkway that, thanks to its width, can also be used as a balcony.
Further forward the owner’s apartment located, hosting a comfortable study with huge windows. The owner’s cabin is 3.4 metres wide (full beam) and its spaciousness is highlighter by large frameless windows that start at 70cm from the deck, with full-height glass on both sides. There are his and hers bathrooms en suite.
In keeping with Benetti standards, MEDITERRANEO 116′ lower deck has a classic layout, featuring four twin cabins and two twin cabins with identical berths, each with its own en-suite bathrooms. Two of the twin cabins are VIP and are located aft.
In this area too, Benetti has optimised natural illumination and dedicated every possible area to guests’ comfort. Each stateroom has 1.6-metre windows placed 70cm from the deck, giving guests great views of the sea.
Crew quarters are situated forward on the lower deck with three double cabins and a captain’s cabin, totalling seven berths together. Stowage space and the audio/visual system are located under the main stairway, completely freeing up the guests’ wardrobes.
One of the main features of the new Benetti luxury yacht MEDITERRANEO 116′ is the way crew movement has been determined: the crew is always available however in a very discrete way. This provides a balance between the owner’s privacy and the greatly efficient services offered on board.
The upper deck has a spacious open area on the foredeck, where a standard layout features a swimming pool, however this huge area is highly versatile and customisable. Forward is the large bridge deck, while astern we have the sky lounge, a rectangular saloon with a 5-metre transparent opening facing the cockpit. This area has its own pantry and dumbwaiter.
An updated layout of the onboard areas for the superyacht Mediterranean 116′ provides a great access to the sea, entirely hiding the lifeboats. The sun-deck is an exceptional sight with 80 square meters 16 meter long completely open space, all available to walk upon. The roll-bar is an integral part of the furnishings and storage space is accessible to the guests. Performance is guaranteed by two Man V-12-1400 developing 1,400hp each, giving the 116′ a top speed of 15 knots. At ten knots, project studies give the Mediterranean 116′ a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles.
The CCO oat Benetti, Fabio Ermetto, is very pleased with their latest creation and affirms that “ the 116′ completes the Gamma Class range while at the same time introduces renewal and modernizing influences to the lines of a few of our most successful models models; this is confirmed by the numbers: 18 contracts signed in the last twelve months. In the coming months we expect a significant commercial success, even though the success of the 116′ is already confirmed with a signed contract for hull number 1, and with hull n°2 under construction”.
