By the end of 2012, the fabulous Limassol Marina will be prepared to host its first yachts as well as residents. This superyacht marina will be presenting its berthing tariffs and details of launch packages at the next Monaco Yacht Show, on stand QS49 in the Darse Sud tent.
Setting new standards for living and sailing in the Mediterranean, Limassol Marina will be able to accommodate up to 650 yachts from 8m to 115m, and will boast its very own shopping and dining area, cultural centre, spa and Yacht Club. Located in the heart of Cyprus’ most vibrant and cosmopolitan city, the exclusive waterfront development has been designed to blend seamlessly with the town’s historic centre, the old harbour and medieval castle.
Marina Manager, Paul Sorrell, is confident that the newly released tariffs and launch packages will entice yachts on an international scale, and said: “Limassol Marina is set to be one of the world’s finest full service marinas located on a beautiful island with a strong nautical history.”
An official Port-of-Entry, Limassol Marina will provide facilities and services of the highest standard. Operated and managed by Camper & Nicholsons Marinas in partnership with Francoudi & Stephanou Marinas, it combines the internationally renowned Camper & Nicholsons’ excellence in services and facilities with the best of local expertise.
Every berth will have access to fresh water, electricity, fibre optic network providing high speed broadband, high-speed wireless internet and telephone, fuel and waste removal. There will also be haul-out and shore-side technical facilities, a dry dock and workshop for light repairs and maintenance. All of this will be offered year-round, with 24-hour security, concierge services and a team of experienced marina professionals to ensure the smooth running of all facilities.
A new scheme launched by the Cyprus VAT Service, covering the lease of pleasure boats in Cyprus, now makes the island one of the most tax-efficient places in Europe for superyacht owners. As a result of this scheme, VAT rates can be reduced to as little as 3.4% of the initial value of the yacht – less than the equivalent in other favoured jurisdictions.
Limassol Marina is firmly placing Cyprus on the nautical yachting map and offers an exceptional place for living and sailing. The €350 million waterfront development also includes luxury apartments and villas, with their own private berths or direct access to a sandy beach.
As noted by Kurt Fraser, Sales & Marketing Director of C&N, “Limassol Marina is the only new development in the Mediterranean that provides marina berths directly in front of private villas, within a luxury master plan development. It is a rare offering and we are very pleased by the significant number of residential sales achieved to date.”
