B+V 120 MYX the ultimate “SUV” (Sports Utility Vehicle) at sea Aft View
Super yacht builder Blohm + Voss are unveiling the newest addition to the expanding fleet they name the “ultimate SUV at sea,” the B+V 120 MY/X. The expedition yacht measures 124.2 meters (407 feet), with a 25.7-meter (84-foot) beam and is designed to combine the capability of worldwide cruising at a maximum possible comfort for the Owner and 16 Guests as well as enough space for a vast amount of exploration equipment.
The B+V 120 MY/X Superyacht has been designed to achieve lowest noise and vibrations levels, the highest manoeuvrability performance and maximum environmental friendliness by means of a diesel-electrical propulsion system powering 3 pod drives for a maximum speed of 18.5 knots.
The yachts main entrance lobby is located in the “eye-shaped” feature on Main Deck, where a grand staircase and a lift lead up to the Bridge Deck where the seating area to the aft boasts 180 degree views.
The the B+V 120 MY/X has been designed to allocate a generous amount of space to the owner’s area. The Owner’s Deck is a level below the bridge deck and is a spacious duplex suite that is connected via a private staircase to the Guests Deck. This design enables the Owner to observe view from the bedroom as well as the two bathrooms, one on each side. A private staircase leads down to a massage room, gym, and private saloon, with the saloon additionally leading out to a Spa Pool at the bow area. There are 6 spacious cabins located on the main deck for guests and 2 VIP duplex suites located on two levels each with bedroom on Guests Deck and dressing room and bathroom one deck above. The dining and lounge areas are also located on the guests deck, with balconies on each side and ample exterior spaces around the swimming pool.
The motor yacht B+V 120 MY/X has enormous storage capacities, enabling the yacht o house the impressive list of water toys onboard including tenders from 5.5 to 16 meters (18 to 52 feet), a seaplane, an amphibian car, and there is even space for a 8.5-meter (28-foot) submarine. The 120 MY/X motor yacht can also carry two helicopters. The primary helipad is aft, on the owner’s deck, with a hangar beneath it. The second helipad is located toward the bow area on the same level as the 2 VIP suites the dining room and the saloon and serves the guests.
At water level there is a very spacious beach club housed over two levels with access to bathing platforms providing a very unique setting for relaxing as well as entertaining. Another unique feature of the yacht is a viewing area located in the forward part of the bow overlooking the sea at approximately 8.50 m above water adds to the superior qualities of this expedition yacht.
