The month of May is a very exciting time, as it is the opening of the yacht charter season in the Mediterranean. It is also a very busy time of the year for our charter specialists at CharterWorld, as luxury superyachts are booking up very fast and invitations to attend familiarisation trips, also known as Fam-trips, are never turned down. This year our charter broker Trina Howes had an opportunity to cruise aboard 43.60m Benetti charter yacht Blue Vision. Incredible charter experience, additional knowledge of the cruising destination, first-class service onboard visiting the best place in the Balearic Islands; below are the highlights of Trina’s trip.
ABOUT THE YACHT
Last refitted in 2016, motor yacht Blue Vision is an elegant 43.60-metre charter yacht, which was built by the Italian shipbuilder Benetti. Blue Vision combines the expertise and craftsmanship with the world-renowned Italian style. She provides comfortable accommodation for 12 charter guests in 5 cabins.
The accommodation layout comprises of a master stateroom on the main deck, two double and two twin cabins. The master cabin is quite outstanding, as it features a VIP entrance, a treadmill and his and her bathroom facilities.
Lavish relaxation spaces can be found on the sundeck, where the guests can enjoy the Spa pool and sun loungers. There is a beautiful alfresco dining area for ten guests to taste some gastronomic delights prepared by the chef.
Trina mentioned: “The menu was varied and I feel we got a really good preview of what Chef John can do, which seems to be everything. Gayle is a vegetarian, and she was also super impressed, and I thought her meals looks really yum.”
The upper deck hosts a large lounge with a dining table, a bar to sip on some aperitifs, and a seating area. Blue Vision’s ample deck space includes lovely areas for sunbathing and leisure. Blue Vision has an extensive selection of water toys, including Seabobs, wave runners, water skis, a banana and fishing equipment.
“The crew on board are literally perfect. I could not fault them on a single thing. The service was impeccable with them being at least three steps ahead of us at all times. They were calm, fun, super professional, very good looking, perceptive and hardworking. The chef was outstanding, and I loved all I ate.” – says Trina.
THE FAM-TRIP ITINERARY
Our broker Trina Howes embarked on Blue Vison in Barcelona, where Chef John prepared fantastic dinner to welcome guests. Barcelona is an excellent place to start a luxury yacht charter vacation, as the vibrant city has so much to offer. A tour around Barcelona is an incredible experience, especially when you include Park Guell, Sagrada Familia, Cathedral de Barcelona, Montjuic and Casa Ballo in your itinerary. You can admire the awe-inspiring views of Catalonia from the top floor of the W Hotel – one of the most luxurious hotels in Barceloneta.
From Barcelona, Blue Vision cruised to the northern part of Ibiza. This part of the island is full of secluded beaches filled with serenity and peacefulness. Ibiza is an extraordinary island, which offers vibrant nightlife and parties, as well as five-star hotels and fine dining restaurants, popular among yacht charterers.
As our charter brokers know, your Spanish charter itinerary would not be perfect without a visit to Formentera. One of the most famous islands in the Balerialic, Formentera is known for its pristine beaches, glittering sea and tranquillity. A day trip to the stunning island was a fantastic idea.
After that, Blue Vision left for another overnight crossing to Palma. “Es Trench” was a lovely place for lunch. Shopping and dining can be found at the beautiful Port Adriano. For water-sports lovers, Blue Vision offers a large variety of water toys to enjoy while in the warm waters of Palma.
Trina mentions that the weather in that part of the Mediterranean could be tricky, which might adjust your charter itinerary accordingly, but there are still plenty of places to visit. When planning a yacht charter holiday for a week or ten days in the area, it is a great idea to visit Mallorca and Ibiza.
“Blue Vision is a really pleasant yacht. She has just come out of 18 months in the yard, so it looks brand new. Great layout that flows really well. Its stabilisers are very good. The blue leather couches are very comfortable. Beds are also very comfy, beautiful linens, ample table décor and beautiful flatware.” -Trina Howes, CharterWorld yacht charter specialist.
Charter motor yacht Blue Vision is available for charter from EUR€ 130,000.00 per week plus expenses. The beauty of the Mediterranean can be yours this summer, as Blue Vision is totally ready for luxury yacht charters. In addition to being licenced for Spanish charters, she is also available in the cruising grounds of Tuscany, St Tropez, Sicily, Portofino, Nice, Naples and Corsica, and other locations of the West Mediterranean.
