Boksa Marine Design, Inc. teamed with Hann Powerboats of Sarasota, FL to develop a 20M fast patrol craft for an international client.  The patrol craft is intended to escort supply vessels to offshore locations and stay on station for up to 10 days with a crew compliment of 14.  Normal operating speed will be around 10 knots while on escort but the patrol craft is capable of sprint speeds up to 40+ knots.

BMD was founded by Naval Architect/Marine Engineer, Nicholas Boksa, PE in April 2003 as a fully operational design firm working on many luxury yacht design and commercial marine design programs.  Today the Tampa, Florida based firm is comprised of two divisions, BMD Yachts and BMD Commercial, providing quality design globally – assisting both builders as well as vessel owners.

Boksa Marine Design provides detailed production engineering to builders and shipyards.  Combining a variety of cutting edge software packages, our capabilities include lofting and nesting, 3D modeling, fair surface development, structural analysis, performance prediction and detailed shop drawings for production.
